EEOC's Director Carlton Hadden Says Enforcement Agency Has No Disciplinary Authority
Tanya Ward Jordan, President of the Coalition For Change, Inc. (C4C) asks Director Carlton Hadden, of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (Office of Federal Operations), to clarify its role about disciplining managers who are found guilty of discrimination. Director Hadden asserts the Office of Special Counsel and the offending agency can impose discipline. EEOC Director asserts the enforcement agency ""would like to have the authority to discipline"; however it can only asks discriminating agencies to "consider" disciplining officials who engage in proven unlawful acts. A Freedom of Information Act done by the C4C revealed the EEOC was negligent in making referrals for disciplinary action to the Office of Special Counsel. See you tube with Director Hadden
